    Hey guys
I have a question... Do you know of any good converter that can convert .avi to .mp4 ?
I have tried SUPER but it converts an .avi file of 300 MB to an .mp4 file of 1 GB (or more i stopped the conversion halfway through)
I also tried to convert to .wmv but the quality is tragically reduced ( the frame size too ), the video file I need to convert is in 480p which isn't that good and if I have more quality loss, it would simply suck.
I need them to be converted in .mp4 because I want to edit them in Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0.

    Thanks a bunch

use mediainfo in text mode on the source avi and copy/paste the results here. you would be much better off using the original avi in vegas. i assume it won't import but there may be a way to fix it.

You can try install ffdshow. And you must enable the vfw h264 decoder in it, from the start menu->ffdshow->vfw configuration and select decoder and under codecs select h264/avc libavcodec under decoder.
