virtuldub can not open avi file?

hello,
when i use virtuldub to edit an avi file, the error as follow photo:

But i had installed picvideo and k-lite codec pack,

How can i edit the avi(mjpeg 1920*1080) by virtuldub?

ffdshow works. Be sure to install the vfw interface. Then run the vfw configuration(from start menu->ffdshow->vfw configuration), under Decoder and codecs enable mjpeg. See image:



PICVideo MJPEG works fine also. It's not free though.

i did what you say , but it does not work yet!
the error is still appear.
does the virutaldub need a plugin codec, waiting for the answer...

Uninstall k-lite codec pack and try disable the old picvideo mjpeg. You must get ffdshow as the primary mjpeg decoder.

You could also try edit with avidemux is you can't get it to work.

if you use ffdshow make sure you adjust the vfw configuration to support the input (Virtual Dub mainly uses vfw)

If you are using a 64 bit version of VirtualDub you need to use the 64 bit version of ffdshow.
