Hey everyone i made a copy of 2 episodes of battlestar galactica using dvd decryptor into individual .vobs. I ran subrip on the file and OCRd the subtitles but when i played them with my converted mkv they were out by at least 9 seconds. Subrip is report the same frame rate which is 25fps. I ran it though Vob sub and the same thing happened. Then i extracted the subtitles to .sub using vobsub and tried to use them with my orignal .vob i had riped and no subtitles would come out at all. Has anyone had any problems like this ?

Happens all the time. When you convert to another format, your "start" time will often differ from the "start" time of the original. Subrip allows you to fix this with a "time adjust" (the clock icon) in the text field. Just click this with your file still open and adjust the timing to fit your circumstances.
If you've already closed your original file, I believe that you have to start over from the beginning. But since you have saved your OCR matrix, the conversion should be fairly quick.ICBM target coordinates:

Hey thanks i did this but i can never get it 100% correct, it seems like its a fraction of a second off here or there. Is there anyway way to find the exact delay ? for instance would the delay time on the audio and video stream elude to how to do it ?
