Burning .AVI

Can someone tell me how to burn an .avi to work in a dvd player... tried everything and nothing seem to work. what format do you use.. mpeg1 mpeg2. Vcd?? can somone help please i'm going crazy

You can either burn an SVCD if your player supports it or a VCD (Mpeg1).

In case of VCD, you should make sure your player can play CDRs. Otherwise, try CDRWs.

For conversion, look up the conversion/burning guides on this site.

I personally use TMPGENC for conversion to VCD and get very good results. I burn the resulting MPEG1 files on CDrs using Nero and they play well on my Shinco DVD player.
