  1. I'm running a Vizio 42" from a PC with a Radeon 9250. I've got a DVI->HDMI adapter on the card and then HDMI cable to the TV. If the TV is on when I boot the PC, I get a picture (very good one, in fact) on the TV. If I turn the TV off and back on, the TV says "No Signal". I can reboot the PC to get a picture again but TV just doesn't pick up the signal when it's turned on after the PC is booted up.

    Any ideas?

    I had the same problem.
I unplugged the power and replugged and did a re-scan of channels.
    Hope it works.

Not too sure, but clue may be found here:

    http://www.hdmi.org/learningcenter/faq.aspx

    In part, it states:

"HDMI supports two-way communication between the video source (such as a DVD player) and the DTV, enabling new functionality such as automatic configuration and one-touch play. By using HDMI, devices automatically deliver the most effective format (e.g 480p vs 720p, 16:9 vs 4:3) for the display that it is connected to - eliminating the need for the consumer to scroll through all the format options to guess what looks best."

I know there is a communications protocol between HDMI devices, but I haven't figured out all the quirks. Since you are using a DVI-to-HDMI converter, that may have something to do with it. (Thus, requiring you to turn on one device before the other.)
