    I have a short clip with background music that i imported into authoring works 4. I have enabled "motion menu with audio" in global menu settings. Why is the menu clip silent during simulation playback?? Both clip audio and background music is silent. The tracks play fine. Also, i output to blu ray and no audio either when the menu played.

    Could be the audio is in a format not supported by AW4. Is there a setting to use background music for menu audio?

    Yes but i bypassed that since my motion menu contained the background music i wanted.

    Did you check in the BGM editor in the menu/page editor to see if the audio from the video file could be used?If not then you have to extract it and add it in the BGM editor section.
