Can you determine which item defaults as the first highlighted item on a menu?

    If so, how?

    Thanks!

You can only edit it afterwards in DVDRemake or PGCEdit. TAW uses register 11 for setting highlighted button number before going to a menu PGC. The default selected button # is usually (by TAW's internal template) defined in the last line of pre-commands in a PGC marked as 'title menu' in VMG or 'root menu' in a VTS with track menu. The numbers like 1024, 2048, 3072.. etc. correspond to buttons 1, 2, 3.. Easier editing can be done by forcing particular button highlight on menu start-up but this way you can't use control of highlighting by current chapter# (if called from playback) etc.
