    Overview:
I am authoring a 25Gb BDR using TmpGenc Authoring Works 4 and I am using a motion menu background (animation + video). The animation and video files were rendered using Premiere Pro CS4 and are exactly 30 seconds long. The motion menu duration in TAW4 is set to 30 secs.

    Problem:
When my motion menu background animation ends, there is a short (maybe 1/4 sec) delay before the loop begins to play again. I thought this unwanted delay may just be something related to the way the Simulation function works, but when I burned the BDR and played it on my Blu-Ray player, that delay between the end and start of the loop was still there.

    Troubleshooting:
I have made several adjustments, including demuxing the video and audio, shortenening and lengthening the clip, changing the global motion menu duration, etc, but no matter what I've tried I cannot get the motion menu to seamlessly loop without that unwanted delay.

    Question:
So, is this a bug in TAW4 or am I just doing something wrong? Has anyone else here used TAW4 to make seamless motion menus?

P.S. Here's some other history. I have tried other authoring programs already. Encore CS4 gave me Out Of Memory errors. With DVD Architect 5, I was able to get a smooth, seamless motion loop menu background, but I wasn't happy with the results of the encoder (i.e., it re-encoded my audio and video at the max (only 28MB) bit rate and the yet results were less than desirable (i.e., grainy, blacks were washed out) after taking almost 8 hours. I am very happy with TAW4's encoding results (great quality and it only took about 1.5 hours), but I have that "glitch" in the motion menu.

    Any ideas?

  2. Render 30 sec animation from Premiere Pro CS4 for example 5 min , by duplicate same title 30sec 10 times on timeline
Add 5min. to TmpGenc Authoring Works 4, and set motion menu duration to 5min.
the unwanted delay will be only after 5min
Nobody will wait in menu more then 5min.

@roma_turok, that's a creative workaround. It'll require more disc space, but it will push the "glitch" further out in time where it's less noticeable, so thanks.

But I'm still wondering if anyone else has made seamless motion menus in TAW4 (if so, how?) or if others have had the same experience as me?

i'm not gonna say there's a fix but i have seen "retail" dvd's with motion menus and the same sorta..."delay"...so i imagine its kinda common
