    OR...

    DTS-HD Master Audio Suite Encoder

    ( a.k.a. "DTS-HD Monster Audio Suite Encoder" )

    It has two advantages (apart from the absurd price, of course):

    --- it's NOT only for "Blu-Ray content" ;

    --- it does let you use other bitrates than 1509kbps and 754kbps .

    @El Heggunte

    Can I use Nuendo for splitting LPCM files into tracks ??? this operation must be done before using DTS-HD Master ASE , I presume...

    hmm..yes I'm interested in getting my old DVD-Audio discs converted to a more "standard" format that will play in any bluray player. I think my super audio cd's will still play in some bluray players.

    I abhor this eac3to because it needs an interface or additional softs to get what you want...

  8. not with lpcm , you don't need any additional software (lpcm is already uncompressed, you don't need any special decoders like arcsoft etc...)

    you just type 1 line:

    eac3to input.lpcm output.wavs

    you can try audacity beta as well. file=>export multiple . You might have to setup the ffmpeg decoding options in the setup

    Extract audio from dvd-a using dvda explorer as wavs then go to surroundbyus and get theyr software--it can do mkv audio only,dvd audio only or avchd disc [i think],wich is compatible with most bd players.
    Anyway your solution is to obtain a avchd disc!
