Now that you've eliminated gaming, what would be your primary purpose?

  6. Can you upgrade the graphics to Nvidia 8600+ or ATI 2400+ ? That will give you the option of graphics hardware video decompression.

try to stay away from slim cases. they are not easy to upgrade/add on

plus Acer is known for not including any software/backup with their pc's/laptop.my brother in law's laptop didn't come with a single cd

what do u think about the Dell Zino HD Media Center Desktop w/ Radeon HD3200 Graphics

The only thing I don't like is the single core CPU. enough power for net

It's not bad for the price, in the end you get what you pay for.

  9. Buy it.. two cores .. Not an ATom gfx slot if you ever feel like upgrading the gfx. Acer are Ok.
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

I looked up the detailed specs in another website. It doesn't seem like a bad choice for what you want to do with it, but I noticed one thing that is a little worrisome. The PSU is only 220W. It's an SSF case, which means if you need to replace or upgrade the PSU, it is likely a standard PSU won't fit and your choices will be limited.

I was looking at these a few months ago on Ebay ... I have been buying one certain ACER model and I like it ... I've gotten a few that didn't work correctly. But it was a matter of changing the mother board to fix it.

So I started looking around for more models by Acer and found this ... that your interested in. I even bidded on some of them. I then started to look around for them on the Internet ... I am glad I didn't win them. They are proprietary to the max. If I wanted to modify it ... I would be screwed.

If you get it and the mother board starts to fail ... well you can gut it ... and use the parts else where. Good luck with the Power Supply in it ... it is not a standard Power Supply like you find in other normal common PC towers.
