  1. I connected my pc (optical out) to my amp optical in but still I can get no sound in the amp speakers, why is that?
    Any ideas?

  3. Sometimes you have to configure the audio via Control Panel or a manufacturer's applet to use analog vs. optical (some only permit one or the other).

    You prolly gotta' enable spdif output from your sound card, and if using pci sound card definitely disable OB audio in BIOS

    What is pci sound card?
    I tried to search for something in the control panel/sounds but I couldn't find anything to enable the optical cable...

    Unless you installed a pci sound card you you have onboard sound and the optical input(spdif)is connected right to the motherboard,just do what JohnnyMalaria said.

    In case anybody has missed it, this will be about the eighth time this particular user has posted a fairly clueless question with little extra info, and has yet to post a single instance of just what step has solved the problem reported.

    I'm not sure if this qualifies as troll behaviour, but I am questioning whether anyone can truly be this stupid.

    Waste of time on a person who will not even take the time to describe the working solution. Bye-bye, off my list.
