    i hav connectewd my sony handycam through firewire. but when i play video on my DV cam the pic is there on monitor but there is no sound. Why is that so. do i hav to capture first to hear the sound . will the sound be there in captureed video

    yes the sound should be there in the DVavi after capturing.

    What software are you using for capture and playing?

    Do other non-DV videos play OK with sound?
