    I'm using mkv2vob to convert to vob for ps3. The audio is in AAC. For some reason mkv2vob will not convert it.
    It saids "unsupported audio codec: A_AAC".
    I want to convert the audio AC3, keeping the 5.1 in it. Is there a way to do that?

    Thanks

  2. Latest version of avidemux can http://www.razorbyte.com.au/avidemux/

    Open your video, when it says "do you want to use that mode..." say yes

    Set video sidebar => Copy

    Audio sidebar => AC3, configure your bitrate, filters or gain if you want. You may have to manually set mixer to 5.1

    Format => MKV

    Press save, include the extension (e.g. "myfile.mkv")

    Did not worked for me. The original audio was Russian. In Audio i set the option to add a separate English audio file, The max bitrate allowed was 384, I used if and set the mixer to 5.1. Program went to completion but the resulting file type is not MKV. In fact it has no suffix. Nero plays the original and does not allow for Audio change.

    You didn't follow the instructions. You have to add the extension when entering the save as dialog "file.mkv". Also those instructions are for converting the audio, not adding in a separate audio track.

    If you just want to add a separate track, an easier way for this is to use mkvtoolnix. Just open your .mkv, add the 2nd audio track, press merge.

    True, I forgot to write ".mkv" in the file name. Using the same method I got this time a playable file, But there was not any second audio track present

    However mkvtoolnix went just fine. Also the GUI is 10 times more smart than AVIDEMUX.
    Thanks for your help
