I recently purchased a Panasonic DMC-FT1 still camera, and was a bit enthused to discover that it had a video mode built in that uses the AVCHD Lite codec. I am experimenting with shooting a kind of documentary with it, but the question of how to back the footage up onto the Mac has come up. Thus far, I have just done a straight copy of the files to the hard drive, but I do not know how to import the files into Final Cut Express or generally use them for chopping and changing. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding procedures for backup and file usage?
