I have several dv cassettes that were recorded using a 3ccd digital camcorder. Unfortunately, I no longer have that camcorder and I intend to capture this footage onto my computer using a different camcorder that has only 1 CCD. Will using the 1CCD camcorder for capture degrade the footage or will playback preserve the color of the footage?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The CCD is the imaging chip - it is only used when you are recording. I am assuming that you are going to use the camera to play the tapes to transfer the footage into the computer - the CCD is not going to be used, so the tapes will play fine.
