    Using win 7 64 bit

    Any text appearing on the desktop has shadow. Every where else the text is fine. Does anybody know how to get rid of the shadowed text?

    Check under Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Performance Settings > Visual Effects > untick "Use drop shadows for icon labels on desktop".
