    hi im capturing audio from old reel to reel onto a cd recorder and im curious if theres a biut of hardware that i can place in beween units to enhance sound?

    i guess what i mean by that is increase vol, and adjust tonal/base range at minimum
    my budget is circa 200$

    True but this will be post processing. You'll have to do realtime copying and burn the finalized disc. Then copy it to the computer and edit it.

    Or if you want to skip the cd recorder step simply record to cd mode directly to your line input jack on the computer and save the cds.

    If you want to do this in one shot live you'll need to get an audio equalizer. I have no experience with them so I can't offer advice. Basically it would go inbetween your reel and the cdrecorder. Than you can manipulate live the audio and then when its just right start over and record to disc - your adjustments will be recorded directly onto the cd.

    You might look at some of the Behringer products. For example a low cost (~$50US) equalizer: http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/FBQ800.aspx There are a lot of other audio mixers, equalizers, etc. on their site that are reasonable priced. You can likely find them locally or on the net on maybe Amazon or E-bay or some on-line music stores. I believe the company is in Germany, so should be available in your location.
