  1. I have some movies were I split them over two discs. Originally, I used dvdfab to split them and used their generic cgp's (insert disc 2, etc). I would like to change these to something different. Can someone recommend a program that I can take out the old cgp's and replace them with something new? Also, I no longer have dvdfab.

The only thing that comes to mind that would be relatively simple would be DVD Remake Pro, although you might also be able to do it with VOBBlanker and/or PGCEdit. DVD Remake Pro is not free, the others are.

  3. Yeah, I'd use VobBlanker. I'll assume they set the "Change Disc" message as a separate cell tacked onto the end of part 1. Either that or it's a separate PGC. In either case the freeware VobBlanker can change it out.

Open the DVD. Click on the VTS with the movie so it appears in the bottom screen. Highlight it in the bottom screen and hit the "Cells" button to the right. In the new screen will be a list of the cells, and with any luck the last or bottom one will be the one you want to replace. Highlight it and hit the "Prev/Cut" button to confirm.

To replace with a BMP you first have to have VobBlanker make a little DVD for you. In the main screen, at the top, hit Settings->Configure Paths and point to your Muxman.exe and a temp file VobBlanker can use to do its thing (under "BMP To Still Encoding"). Then go back to that cell. Highlight it, hit the "Still" button to the right, and drag your BMP onto that new screen. You should see the pic change. Go back to the main screen, give it an output folder, and process.

If it's not the last cell of the movie but a separate title, look around for it. Shouldn't be hard to find. Then do what I said earlier.
