I have had this program for a while now and I haven't had any problems with it. Now all of sudden I am trying to burn a dvd and it is giving me error, on the bottom is says device not ready (ID CRC or ECC error). I was wonder if anyone knows how I can fix this. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but that didn't work, I am lost and not sure what to do please help!!!!

Apologies for the lack of clairvoyance, but as Baldrick stated, we will need to know what software you are trying to burn your DVDs with. It would also be helpful to know the brand of blank discs.

Please bear with us. I, for one, am trying to improve my telepathic powers, but I'm not there yet.

DVD Decrypter is old and out-dated as a burner. Use the more up-to-date ImgBurn instead.

Also, Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim are the brands of discs most recommended, because they are of consistent quality, versus other brands where some discs may burn OK and other in the same package may not.

Finally, make sure the firmware for your DVD burner is up-to-date.

    Hope that helps.
