    Hello everyone,

    I have a Rode Videomic that I'm planning to set onto a boom pole. However after learning how much the Rode boom pole costs, I decided to construct my own as I'm on a tight budget. My question is, is it possible to connect the mic to my camcorder (Canon Vixia HF20) via an xlr connector cable?
