sup...anyone know if this will work???
    1. take a usb external sata hard drive enclosure
    2. hook up a sata bluray dvd drive to it. obviously the drive would have to sit on the enclosure since it wont fit inside the enclosure...DUH
    3. connect to xbox 360 via USB. im thinking that the xbox would treat it just like a typical cd/dvd drive.

anyone know if the xbox bios/software can decode the video? since they do make bluray and HDDVD combo drives for the pc i was thinkin that this would be a cheaper scenario versus spending $400-500 for a standalone player.
newegg sells them for $129 (cheapest unit for PC)
    thanks for reading.

It wont be able to decode the bluray video. Wait for a microsoft bluray addon....or buy a ps3.

Yeah they will probably come out with one shortly. A ps3 is your best bet right now if you don't want to invest in a standalone player only unit.

Just a note about a pc bluray drive - you need PLENTY of power. At least a dual core processor and 2gb rams.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Microsoft has made no decision yet on supporting BluRay and many are speculating that they are not going to support it, ever. Don't hold your breath waiting for this to happen any time soon.
