  2. Hi-

DVD-Rebuilder is free and supports CCE for what you want to do. There are lots of guides for the use of DVD-RB:

If you just want a CCE guide, then maybe some of these will do:

Have you heard the saying "More than three shakes is a wank ?"

More than 3 passes fits that same category.

HCEnc will look just as good most of the time, and better at lower bitrates, and only does 2 passes (and costs $2000 less than CCE SP - assuming you actually paid for CCE, of course)

I agree with you on passes, but CCE Basic is only $50 and works well with Rebuilder.

I believe one of the restrictions on CCE basic is a two pass maximum on VBR encoding, which still makes HCEnc the better value.

The trial version of CCE works perfectly with DVD-RB and there is no two-pass limit.

I ended up using CCE with 3 pass.

The video had 5.53gb (2 hours 19 min.) and was compressed to 4.10gb, and you cannot tell the diference between one and another.

I only noticed some diference when open 2 virtualdub windows, one for the original and one for the compressed , put both on the same frame and superpose the windows, only then you can see very few pixels changing places

    Thanks a lot everyone
