HOW do you play it? Use a dvd player like vlc, mpchc and choose the video_Ts folder. Select the subs in the menu.

i think the word you are trying for is "bought"

run the ripped movie through dvdshrink and re-author to main movie only, it will allow you to select which subs you want to keep.

Forum rules say that it's OK to ask about backing discs that YOU bought. It's not OK to ask about copying discs that you didn't buy yourself.

For years, it has been generally permissible to make a single, "fair use" copy of a movie that you bought and still own, so that you can store away the original and protect it from damage through overuse or mishandling. But it is definitely illegal for one friend to buy a movie and then distribute copies to other friends. You said you "brought" Avatar from a friend, no "bought." That one little "r" determines whether it's okay or a no-no.

  8. ^^ this copy wont get distribute here & there...its just between 2 of us...i dont like or do dvd pirated business, btw here many question asked about ripping blueray, dvd etc so thats itself shows the distribution of the copies.

    now@ topic--

@baldrick, yes its works from VLC player..strange as few hrs back when i was trying...it was not working.....
well i was playing like this- copy all files on drive<see above pic) and frm there i played it with WMP
@aedipuss, if i use that dvd shrink autocompress option then the pic quality will be effected ?

And suppose i want to copy whole movie and burn in other dvd9... i mean the below steps are right ?
Copy the dvd with anydvd HD on harddrive & then use ImgBurn..will it work !
but one thing i dont need some 3 language audio/subtitle which is there in the dvd,how to deselect it while useing anydvd..as i have not found any option there.

it seems that you have already got your desired movie on Hard Disk.
Run DVD Shrink in a Full Disk mode. [Quality will be approx 50%-to-70%, which is OK]
[Set Edit-->Preferences-->Target DVD-5, Stream Selection ALL ALL Types]
Open up DVD Folder on Your Hard Disk. [DVDShrink gonna Analyze it.]
Click on BackUp and Save as ISO file. [Target Device ISO file]
[Target ISO, Region FREE, Quality Setting : Perform Analysis before backup.]
[Run DVDShrink in Quality Enhancement Mode, it gonna take little longer for best output.]
Finally, use Imgburn to burn ISO file onto DVD-R.

Play it in any stand-alone DVD player.
If you like the quality, then, Do not forget to show us as well.
So we can comment on your quality as well. LOL.

If you worry so much about Quality then, buy original DVD rather than backing-up from BlockBuster, KMart, Wal*Mart.
That is the reason why people still buys original ones.

I am replying to your post shout for help considering silly typo "Brought" or I might have mis-read as "bought". LOL!

Only ONE of you actually "bought" the DVD.....so you are clearly breaking the rules.

Baldrick's already posted here and he would have locked the thread/banned him or whatever if he thought the rules were being broken.

Since you're not a mod, I suggest you stop playacting as one.

My interpretation of "the rules" is that they are designed not to bring the forum into disrepute. Not to empower you to badger anyone who doesn't know the right way to ask a question.

  13. friends ignore the brought/bougt/buy/sell things...Really its hard when someones says truth. But now i become smart lol az by seeing other threads....i should use words like i have a mkv,avi or dvd files and want to backup it/convert/ make a dvd of it...something like that yup !

@Bonie81 ,hey urs tuts was simple & nice thanks for it..but i cant able to check the Perform Analysis before backup or that Quality Enhancement Mode....

    useing v3.2
And after shrinking it (not in iso,but in backup target harddisk) i have checked the clearity... it was ok ..as its normal if u compress so much then offcourse there will be loss in clearity.

So az i said above going for full backup wat it says 1:1 copy

  14. Hi prithvi

"Really its hard when someones says truth."
There are plenty of other methods seeking help without saying truth as well as without lying.

"i cant able to check the Perform Analysis before backup or that Quality Enhancement Mode...."
DVDShrink is very smart buger, if option is not available, probably it does not need any enhancement.
    Everything is fine.

"az i said above going for full backup wat it says 1:1 copy"
Burn it on Double Layer DVD.

if you convert it to DVD-5 (4.7GB) ISO file, it would be easy for you to share, Aha!
so someone check and comment about your quality too!, you know... LOL!

  16. who is mean ? well yeah videohelp have tons of developers & therefore me & many other newbie comes here for the help.....help from the multimedia masters with their useful free tools every answer related to vids/audio is here No Doubt.

Btw my mood change so went for DVD-5 backup

Tool i used is DvdFab---customize option and remove all language subtittle..only kept english...so more space, like 70% quality az by dvdFab..rip the the dvd in iso format and then burn it.

Everything is ok but one prob the movie getting stuck @ ending i mean when those names comes its shows more 2 min left but its doesnt.. got hanged..

even used vlc player there also same thing, mov got stuck (above pic) ...well thank god at the ending all this happening not in between..But why this all happening !

And today i backup another dvd with that same tool dvdFab customize method in iso format but this time i extract iso and play it before burning it...& wat i found that player getting little bit hanged in ending of the movie....i was like not again so i kick it and used DVDShrink-- copy only movie ---iso--then burn it... and the dvd plays without any problem full 100% perfect from start to end... i am Fan of DVDShrink now :d

And one more thing regarding to DvdShrink is its necessary to check "perform deep analysis" az it take double time ... & wat about the other option below to it 'quality enhacement" wat to choose for more good quality
