This is my first post in this useful and nice forum.
(Sorry for my english)
I just wanted to share my strange experience with this DiVX player.

I have no issues playing divx and xvid of any kind (till now) from:
-Discs
-USB pen Kingston 4GB (even if I noticed some shutters on very rapid scenes)
-USB 320GB HD PackardBell

The problems started when I created an archive in my external HD with all my Divx files.
I had to rename most of the files (because of the 8 characters lenght) and I did it after moving them to the external disc from my PC.
Same for subtitles: sometimes I moved them on the same folder and changed their names to fit the avi ones.

Big surprise:
The player didnt find some subtitles!
I thought it was some subtitles file errors, but it wasnt.
Saving an avi and subtitles (already with the same name) in the USB pen the problem disappeared.
I tried the same with a DVD support.
When I tried to add subtitles in another session, player wasnt able to read them.

It seems that just when I save subtitles and avi files, with the same name of course and in the same moment, player would work...
Dont know why!
I started to use AVIAddXSub to include subtitles in the divx files.
It takes some time but it's worth the time.
I can choose fonts, size, color and position and I got rid of the strange problem above...

Anyway I'm curious to see if anyone has some explanations for the issue...
Thanks
