Webcam software

My wife bought a Logitech webcam and now wants me to set it up so she can have live video chats with the grandkids. The webcam came with drivers and a few other useless utilities. Is there software someone can recommend that I can use to:
1) do video chats
2) send video email
BTW – the software doesn’t necessarily need to be freeware.

I would first try microsoft windows own tools,
1) Live Messenger / MSN.
2) Windows movie maker, record and save to a small wmv file and email.

You need the same software on both computers, are these Macs? Something like AIM.... but then the webcam would also have to work with the software, not all cameras support all webcam softwares......
