    Hi

I'm a bit dubious about posting this as I posted it on another site and was told that it was "the second dumbest post ever", so I apologise in advance if I'm being really thick

I used DVDFlick to convert an AVI file so that I could burn it to DVD (I want to be able to watch in on my standalone DVD player). I thought the conversion had gone fine but I just can't get it to burn it fails every time. Does this mean that the conversion did in fact go wrong?

I really would appreciate any help.

    Thanks

Nothing 'dumb' about it. Do you have a VIDEO_TS folder? You can look to the upper left on this page for 'WHAT IS' DVD to see the DVD specifications and format. You need to adhere to that to have a compliant DVD that will work on most set top players.

If you have the folder, you could always try burning it with the freeware ImgBurn using the 'Build' mode with your VIDEO_TS folder.

Known to have some issues , check for firmware update ... but consider using a dvd-r , verbatim or ty first

    I 13:34:26 Destination Media Type: DVD-RW (Disc ID: OPTODISCW004) (Speeds: 1x)
    Dvd-rw > as before , try dvd-r , 4x burn , max file is 4.3gig

    Try again .

    A one speed disc?

The reviews here for that disc aren't good.
