Error on startup

I did a format and renistall of xp awhile back and ever since im having problems with svcd2dvd. I get the error below on start and it freezes up sometimes towards the end of converting

Can you try to open the splash.mpg file in the S2D folder in WMP?

Yup, it encountered an error while playing the file. Does this help?

It appears to be an install issue with either WinXP, WMP or both. Looks like a reinstall has been the only successful fix as yet.
