I have a 2 channel speaker connect to my SoundMax onboard audio. When I play Hollow man II DVD movie, I only hear the rear speaker sound. I have double checked the physical connections and the speaker is connected to the front out jack. When I play traliers from the same DVD, I have no problems.
The problem even occurs witht the front panel audio jack. Please help!
I'm using media player 11 and latest driver.

DVDs are usually 5.1 surround sound audio, so you need to go into the media player settings and change the speaker configuration from 5.1 output to 2.0 speaker output (and also your sound properties from control panel)
Trailers are usually encoded in 2.0 output which is why they will play fine. -
Also: Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Volume tab -> Speaker Settings box -> Advanced -> Speakers tab. Select your speaker configuration.
