So here is the thing, The file is already in XVID format, im using VobSub subtitles. I already finished one and it comes out working perfectly fine. But my question is that, since it is already in XVID format, all i want to do it just add in the subtitles, i do not need to encode it into XVID format. Is there a way, i can just add in the subtitles with out any compression or encoding? ( i am assuming encoding means converting the file into xvid or divx)

Otherwise, the program is great! does what i need it to do.

Here are the details from the log window. It took 1 hour and 22 minutes!!!!!! zzZzz
    Thanks for your help.

  2. i do not need to encode it into XVID format.

Yes you do. If you burn the subs into the video, it needs to be reencoded. It doesn't matter is everything else is still the same, resolution, codec, audio, settings, it still has to be completely reencoded.
