I just wonder how much time AGK uses for you when converiting DVD to .avi?
I have a P4 3.4Ghz, 2GB RAM, and the computer newly re formatted.
Still a convert takes from 4-6 hours.
The last one took over 11 hours. This can't be right.
I use the advaced mode with fix width at 720, otherwise the movie gets to small on the screen.
But before when I used auto with, no conversion took less than 4 hours.
Should it take so much time???

I've been trying to prepare to files from the DVD with Gordian Knot, see the steps, untill using v-strip. it takes like 15-20 min or so. Then you'll get a single VOB file which you can put in gordian knot.
Then the .avi is ready in less than 2 hours.
Super.
Ok I asked the quesiton myself and answeared myself, not that happens so much... -
Nope, I was wrong, I was by mistake using a decoded file. So it won't get ready faster than 5 hours...

I usually (on a P IV 3.2 GHz) get around realtime (around 30 fps) for DVD to AVI with AutoGK (per pass - If I do 2 pass, a 2 hour move would take 4 hours or a little less.). I use the auto width option.

hmm, maybe the fact that I use 720 in width make it go a little slower
so less than 4 hours is not possible then...
