  1. I have a couple of DivX movies of size 700MB-ish which play fine both on local hard disk and over a LAN connection. However when I burned it onto a CD - using ISO format - the playback becomes rather bumpy. The file is of format 640x304, 23 frames/sec, 24-bit, DivX Codec, 105kbps. The length is 1 hr 51 mins = 111 mins. If a 74 min audio CD plays fine on 1x player then my 24x CD-ROM should be able to handle that amount of data rate easily, right? Or have I missed a step when making the CD?

  2. Have you checked that DMA is enabled for your CDROM drive?
