  1. I customized Firefox the way I want it (toolbars, buttons, etc), but each time I close it and reopen it it displays a fixed default view, losing my custom settings. I tried browsing thru the preferences but can't find any option to save my custom settings as default. Anyone has a hint? Thanks.

Firefox normally saves your toolbar settings without you having to worry about it. You may have an extension installed that is inadvertently resetting the toolbars to be reset every time you restart... an early version of DownloadHelper used to do that to me (I haven't tried it again since, as I have a number of other extensions and Greasemonkey scripts that can cover that ), and one or two other extensions every once in a while. Or, it could be a theme issue, but that's far less likely.

There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
