  1. Here's your chance to moan ....

I may be happy now I've got a complete set of Bewitched on DVD But still stuff out-there you cannot get. At all not even in other regions (that system won't affect me release it somewhere and I'd be happy)

    US:
    Rocko's Modern Life
    Doug
The Secert World Of Alex Mack
The Adventures of Pete & Pete
    Sister Sister
    Aaah! Real Monsters
    Kenan & Kel
    Sabrina The Teenage Witch

    Australia:
    The Girl From Tommorow

    UK:
This Morning With Richard Not Judy
    Fist Of Fun
    The Mary Whitehouse Experience
    Harry Enfield
    Harry Hill's TV Burp
    Watt On Earth
    Stressed Eric
    Dead Ringers (series 2+)
    Knightmare
DVD region settings are a joke, I can't believe how stupid people are falling for it

Dang, BJ_M! That site is soooo illegal.

Besides what Holden said. Ultra-crap deteriorated VHS-to-DVD with network logos, scrolling ads, etc.

Just about every old cartoon from Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network (rocko, Johnny Bravo, Billy & Mandy, Dexter).
Thankfully, Clone High got a CDN release, so I got that.

70's (crappy) live-action Spider-Man, for the completist in me.

Yeah, Duckman. We finally got the Critic, but that one's sorely missing.

You all probably know of this, but for all TV to DVD related goodness:

    http://tvshowsondvd.com/

I'm sick of every third rate (and even 10th rate) show getting proper seasonal dvd releases (even when they bombed and had 1/2 season), while great older shows don't even get a nod.

I mean, FOR GOD'S SAKE, Joey is getting a release!

I would say the A-Team but they finally got around to that one.

  10. AFAIK, there is no official DVD release of Nash Bridges.

There are copies on Ebay going around that say they are DVD quality, but I doubt the voracity of those statements.

I would like to get them for my dad. For some odd reason, he liked the show.

I would like to have Bionic Woman on DVD (US). Anyone have an idea when we'll see a release?

  12. People out there have been jumping through hoops to get a proper DVD release of the UK BBC series Shoestring; but being set in a radio station, there is just too much music on the soundtrack to clear with copyrights.

    His name was MackemX

If you're referring to that first ghostbuster cartoon series from the late 80's early 90's they do have limited episodes out in small packs. They do look tempting that was a favorite of mine too

Quark, the sci-fi parody with Richard Benjamin. The Sci-Fi channel showed episode 1, and luckily I taped it. But there were 6 episodes that aired. I'd love to see those again.

Also, The Curiosity Shop, a Saturday morning show that Chuck Jones was involved in.

Yup, those are the ones I'm talking about. Unfortunely, like you said, theres only limited episodes out. I want them all. That was my favorite cartoon growing up after He-Man.

We have had the Bionic Woman and the Six Million Dollar Man available for 12 months or so our here. There seems to be little sense to how things are released.

  20. The Green Hornet. I've seen what appear to be bootleg versions of the show, as well as a single DVD that is actually 3 or 4 shows joined together as if they were one full length movie. Unfortunately, no official release of the entire series.

I've got the collection on VCD; far from great quality, but worth having to reminisce over ones favorite episodes. I am missing an episode though - the hospital one. Anchor Bay own the rights I believe - you could try pestering them.

    What about China Beach?
My wife loved that show and we have all the episodes taped (VHS) off the TV when it was on here in Australia about 15 years ago (or whenever it was...a bloody long time ago).
There is no sign of it even on VHS.

  24. The copyright owners either want too much for the rights (your basic TV movie costs $10,000 AU$ upwards for DVD rights), there are copyright issues with the content (often the soundtrack) or the owners reckon they are not going to make enough dough on the deal. Some TV programs may never be released on DVD simply because they have been dumped.

Amazing Stories - That's had talk to come out on DVD for years and it has not. I got the whole set another way though. Good thing I have a laserdisc player. I got the WHOLE series converted.

I was happy when Greatest American Hero and all seasons of the 80's Twilight Zone came out on DVD.

Oh I SO remember Small Wonder....great show in it's day.

I've also wondered about shows like "Amen" and "222"

Main thing though that I don't like about some of the official DVD releases is the music soundtracks alteration because of the annoying copyrights. I like to hear them the way it was originally aired or done in its day. Copyrights can really ruin the shows when you want to hear them the way they were meant to be.

That said, if you were lucky enough to get those back when they originally aired and managed to tape them with original music on VHS, it would be worth the time to convert those to DVD.

And, some shows I fear may never make it to DVD.
