Amen still airs on TVONE. Great show. I watched that way before I knew of the Jeffersons.

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend? -

You know they did it to keep from paying out any royalties and putting more $$$ into their own pockets!!
That opening song with him singing is as classic as the show itself!!
I know quite a few people that watched that show all the time and had no clue it was him singing it -

How about, Family. ( remember Kristy McNichols, as "Buddy" ? )
Probably had the longest crush on her, growing up.

There are acouple of episodes i don't think they actually aired, at least i missed them
But it was definately looking like it was going in a cool direction and it would have been nice to see it run longer -
There was a mini-series called 'The Secret World of OG' and it's rare on VHS, let alone not released on DVD. It was by Hanna-Barbara of Australia, but was a Canadian author storybook and was primarily aired in US & Canada.
Great show though. Maybe someday it'llbe available on DVD.

lots of people want that one -- http://www.kempa.com/blog/archives/000132.html

I figured you'd chime in on that one BJ_M. Isn't that book a major literary work in Canada these days? I met the author in Toronto Years ago. Pierre somthing? I have an autographed copy of the book somewhere at my parent's house. It was his only childrens' story he ever wrote, and the names of the characters came from his kids. Very good book and show.
BTW - I've been a member of that MSN group for 4 years now. -
first time i heard of it actually - but seems to have a big cult following

Check it out sometime if you can. I managed to get a copy and converted it to DVD The book is really good, too. I recommend both. I mention about it being a major Canadian literary work because some friends from back east teach at various schools around Ontario and it seems to be a popular book in childrens' reading classes. Maybe it's a newer preferred literary work. :/

My favorite TV show that has yet to make it to "legal" DVDs is "The Millionaire," the 1955-1960 series (206 episodes) as opposed to the gnarly 1978 series remake debacle.
Even now, a tax-free check for $1,000,000 - properly invested - could last most people a lifetime. But imagine receiving one in 1960.
I see an occasional offer of 4 DVDs (4 episodes each) on eBay ... but no one offering the complete series. FWIW, I sent an email to procopy.com to see if they have it on tap. -
I would like for Webster(Emmanuel Lewis) to be on dvd, also Mr. Belvedere to be on dvd, and Head of the Class on dvd.
Believing yourself to be secure only takes one cracker to dispel your belief. -
Webster was a good show. I always wanted a secret passage clock of my own.
-
Tiny Toons. Even the movie How I Spent My Summer Vacation is not on DVD.

What about Silver Spoons and Growing Pains. Are they on DVD yet? Heck, what about Family Ties?
-
Hawaii Five-O
Gomer Pyle
Both of these are supposed to be released on DVD this year! -
