Did you plug the audio cable into the motherboard/your sound card ?

    Sound input via line-in
Check via sound icon in tray that line-in is not muted .

Speaker's out from speaker output .

You may also need to enter the setup of the program used to watch input , to check it is set to use line-in as audio input source , and not the input on the capture card .
    ---------

Audio issue's can appear form , faulty cable connected to line-in , or fault in line-in socket (loose) or soundcard / onboard audio chipset .

Then on the other hand , you might have a fault with the connection on the playback device ... or cable .

Beware of these multi port switch device's ... some are made from cheap rubbish ... have pc showing the video , and at the same time , twist the audio connection's gently ... if you suddenly here audio , then you found the issue .

You would need one cable in "known working condition" to test if it's a cable issue .

Remember , these are stereo sockets on sound card , thats three pin's ... dont use 2 pin jacks ... they dont work .
