    I am very new to the VCD World and I was curious if people could recommend to me which software is the best to use for editing footage taken from my video camera or from old home movies on VHS tapes and then put them on VDC's or DVD's.

    I would add a good cutter/joiner to that list as tmgenc has some problems in that regard, I like to use vcdcutter.
