Rendering a Video in Sony Vegas

Hi, I recently just complied a short movie in Sony Vegas.

I used clips I recorded from Fraps. (And I left them in .avi format)

I went to render my final movie in .wmv format. It only took 2mins to finish which i thought was odd. When come to look at the final its just a blank screen, and no sound.

Could use some help here or a nice guide/tutorial.

There isn't much to it.

File -> Render
Select Windows Media Video as the output
Click Custom to change the settings of the encoder
Make sure you haven't set it to loop region or similar and defined a small region by accident (common trap for young players)
Save the results.

Vegas help files aren't to bad either.
