rendering in sony vegas troubles

Hi, i'm trying to render footage to a hdv-file in sony vegas without success.
The original footage is shoot also in hdv with a canon hv-30.
The footage compilation is about 3 hours length.
I render it to to hdv with 25mb bitrate, constant bitrate, rendering time 40 hours.
Vegas ends it, in the middle of the process,with the notice, you run out of memory, although i have 4 ghz memory.
What can i do, to speed up this rendering process, avoiding this problem?

are your computer specs accurate in your profile? if so you need to upgrade it. and do you have enough free space on the small hard drives that you list? also what version of vegas is it?

i use a quad core...windows 7, 4 gig memory. 1TB disk. vegas 9.
