I was just comparing a DVD that I made to it's original VHS tape(I.E - The digitalized footage VS the original analog one).
It seems that besides the color difference(which I asked about in the other forum), the sound also has some problems - and they are much more significant actually.
The audio stream in the DVD is faint, and has a very low volume. More over, it sounds much worse than the original - You can't hear all the surrounding sounds and acoustics like in the original VHS tape.
Any ideas what I can do about it?
I'm capturing DV using Canopus ADVC110. Then I extract the WAV using Vdubmod(full processing mode). Eventually I reencode to AC3 using BeLight's AC3 2 channel preset.
