What are you trying to do? Open a file with DVD Shrink? I'm not sure if DVD Shrink can work with ISO files. You might try installing Daemon Tools and mounting the ISO and then rip from that.

Yes, it can. However, an ISO rip can still contain navigational error "copy protection". Try FixVTS on the rip (doesn't work with ISO) first.

If you didn't rip it from a DVD, what does the .img contain? Maybe best to use daemon Tools after all...

  8. I'm guessing its been ripped by someone who owns the DVD and NateDizzle has downloaded it from somewhere

The person who ripped it needed a decent decryption prog.
