    I got movie who came in avi format,but the subs files are .sub/.idx

    Can somebody tel me a i can convert the movie with the subs using svcd2dvd

    I already doing them using another converter who do .srt and .sub/.idx

    Hi Claude,

    Here's two options for you:

    You can use ConvertxtoDVD to encode an avi with .sub/idx files to DVD.

    Or you could "hard encode" the subs using avi recomp and then convert with your Mpeg encoder of choice.

    You can use Subrip to convert .sub/.idx to SRT.
    It uses OCR, so this may not be perfect, always worth at least spellchecking.

    Thanx m8 this is the way i am doing it at the moment,also that prog encode a avi file to dvd with sub on srt file or sub/idx file in superb quality in 1/2 the time for svcd2dvd to do a normal avi to dvd.also will convert almost any video files to dvd format.
