  1. When joining the 2 avi, dubbing into 2 minutes the file was 1.6 gigs... While the 2 avi add up to only 400 megs... Can someone help me ?

  2. Sounds like , if using virtual dub, you may not have enabled compression for audio or maybe even video.
    What are you using to join and what type of avi? i.e. mpg4, divx, dv avi, etc..

  3. If your using avi's made from .vob files with vfapi, then in virtual dub use direct stream copy instead of full processing mode. If this is the case then you can't delete the vobs until you are done encoding and everything has worked.
