I recently upgraded from Tsunami DVD Author PRO to TEMPGEnc DVD Author 2. Although the upgrade is described as nearly only a name change, it installs like a brand-new program . . . so that TEMPGEnc does not have the menu templates that I created and saved with Tsunami.
I suspect that the saved templates are still on my hard drive somewhere, but where? Does anyone know how to transfer them to TDA 2?

Hi,
In TDA 2.0 there is a subfolder called templates. I used to have 1.6 but I don't remember what the folder was called. My guess would be it was the same.
Hopefully you didn't uninstall tda pro. Assuming the directory it is in is untouched it should be still there.
Another option is to simply to a file search for the file type that templates come in. Does anyone know the file extension for tda pro templates?Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -

I suspect that is where the user templates reside. I doubt that merging the Tsunami and TDA versions of that file would work, but I haven't tried it. Maybe a simple substitution would do. If and when I try that, I'll report back. -
The default save folder is in My Documents\TSUNAMI-MPEG\DVD Author PRO\Template.
Make search c:\ for files with "tda2mt" extension: *.tda2mt -
You can not transfer v1.6 templates to v2.0. They are incompatible. This information was either on the website, faq, or in the manual. I don't remember anymore.
