    so i got this darn thing a while back, this download manager - and now ive uninstalled the piece of crap tried deleting all traces.....but everytime i go to download somethin in IE the stupid program pops up by default


    how can i rid this thing so it doesnt happen,heard it's got spyware or whatever the heck as well, could be the reason it keeps coming back

    i want to download normally

    Put Flashget in manual mode only (when needed) and you'll be impressed how good it is. If you haven't found the time to read config basics - the manual... you'll have to bear consequences. With hi-speed cable and DSL there's less and less need for download managers. Flashget is one of the better ones and first one to have offered multiple connections with the same source...

    I've used it for years ... and everytime I reinstall Windows XP or back when I used WINME ... I always made sure I had Flashget installed

    I like Flashget ... works for me ... I also use GetRight. Getright comes in handy when a download is corrupted ... I then use Getright ... to get it ... right.

    ive got scan spyware it found entrys of flashget to delete, but i need the full app to asks for a key. what a bummer

    Maybe try a RE-INSTALL, go into it and disable the browser integration to remove the "link" to IE, then UNINSTALL it again
