  1. I am somewhat familiar with Flashget. Sometimes I use it to download something faster.
However, there is another free download manager called Thunder/Xunlei:
    http://v1.hehehunter.com/xunlei/english-xunlei-thunder-5813699/
    On the website the say:
Support for Multi-protocol download: HTTP, FTP, MMS, RTSP, BT, and EMULE.
I don't understand this. I mean, Emule has it's own unique interface software to download Emule p2p. Torrent has it's own software group, such as uTorrent to download torrent p2p.
My question is: How can Thunder/Xunlei be used to download p2p such as Emule and torrent?
Another question: If Thunder/Xunlei is used to download p2p, will that be faster than using Emule or uTorrent interface? Another question, how is Thunder/Xunlei different from Flashget?

  2. Torrent and emule APIs are easily available. Anyone can write software that uses those protocols. That doesn't mean they'll work any faster or slower.
