I only use TDA occasionally when making episodic dvds, that need chapters to be linked to. Would it be worth it for me to upgrade to the PRO version? I don't have a problem with 1.6, but just wondering if there were any features that were added to PRO that I may like? I usually just do basic no animated menus on my dvds

  2. FWIW I run TDA 1.5 and the main difference between it and 1.6 is Dual Layer support when authoring.

I toyed with Pro, did the trial version etc.

Not enough improvement. The one feature i more or less liked was the preview feature where I could test the DVD to see if it worked like I wanted without having to author first.

I find that I can do what I want with 1.5 so on the basis of it isn't broken don't fix it, I am still running TDA 1.5.

For occasional use you need to decide if it is worth the money. In my case since I had licensed the AC3 plug-in already I decided against it. OTOH if I had needed AC3 support and didn't have the AC3 plug-in that might have tilted it in the direction of PRO.

    Hope this helps.
