Encoding a VIDEO_TS with mencoder doesn't work

Hi!
I'm from an other ffmpegX's Forum (www.carpo.org(French)) where a guy has a problem with mencoder. Here is the message he get :

He has the last version of ffmpegX, a iBook G3 500 Mhz and mac OS 10.3.9.
He get a 16kb output file...

apparently, mencoder is not update anymore for G3 processor....

Probably he should make sure he's using G3 binaries like these:
