Is there any difference in quality if I use Toast to burn VIDEO_TS folders or if I use Toast to author from the VOB files from that same VIDEO_TS folder? I ask because I have avi files that I have converted to DVD for futbol matches and would prefer to avoid one DVD per 30 minutes of action, which is about the timeframe for each avi. So my choice would be burning each VIDEO_TS or taking the VOB files out of the VIDEO_TS folders and putting them together as chapters in Toast. I don't know if the BUP or IFO files in the VIDEO_TS have any impact on quality beyond controlling the settings for the VOB files. Thanks.

If you are using Toast 7 you can easily extract the MPEGs from the VIDEO_TS folders and have Toast author a new DVD with multiple titles. Place the VIDEO_TS on the desktop or in the Movies folder. Click the Media button. Choose DVD with the top button. The description of the VIDEO_TS source appears in the lower window. Click the lower button to choose either the title or chapter level and drag the video to the Video window.

You mention burning the entire VIDEO_TS folder. The process I described lets you select which VTS title set you want to extract from the VIDEO_TS. So it's the same as choosing VOBs. To burn an entire VIDEO_TS you'd choose DVD video from VIDEO_TS in the Toast Video window and have no need to access anything through the media browser.
