    well baiscly i get a orange screen on Video Lan Client. Windows Media Player Classic 11.
    could be be wotching like 75% of the movie and it gos orange then again i could have just put the video on and the first 3 seconds it gos orange.

    any idares why or how to fix it?
    im current using the CCCP codec pack.

    if you need any more info just ask. i dont know where to start to fix this problem
    also it dose it with all cedec and video formats. but it dosnt go orange with winamp

    VLC uses its own (internal) codecs, not any codecs installed on the system, so that tends to imply the problem's with the actual video(s). It might be a good idea to post more information about the videos here (in VLC, you can do this with "Stream and Media Info..." (or hit Ctrl-I). Or use MediaInfo, or something else that supports MKVs.)

    Note that the general belief on these forums is that codec packs are far more likely to cause problems than help.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

    You could try this: Go to 'Control Panel>Display>Settings>Advanced>Troubleshoot' and set your acceleration lower, maybe 1/3 of the way from the left. This is assuming your problem isn't with the videos themselves.

    CCCP is fairly safe as far as codec packs go. It's similar to FFDShow, though even it can cause problems if there are previously installed codecs that it can conflict with. But if you can't play the videos with VLC, it doesn't sound directly codec related.
