I start converting a mpg-2 file to mpg-2 (dvd compliant format) using tmpgenc
when I play the source file it seem to play with a ratio format of about 4:3
but when I play the converted file it seem to display a ratio of about 3:5 (more high than large)
the thing is that i choose the 4:3 format in the wizard
can anyone help with this issue
thanx

I checked this option and he result is the same (video squeezed)
What this option is suppose to do exactly ?
Do you have any other suggestions to make a 16:9 video look good after convert on a 4:3 format

You either convert it to add black border top and bottom, or you do pan-and-scan. There really is no other way.
